Most loft conversions and some dormer conversions do not require Planning Permission
However a Loft Conversion for habitable use does require Building Regulations Approval, for which, building plans are needed for local Authority Building Control
Are you looking to extend or renovate your home? A perfect way to create more space
is to convert an existing room or unused space into something more valuable. Loft Conversion Plans and garage conversion Plans are a perfect example of this and are increasing in popularity.

A Garage Conversion does not involve a change of use as such and UK Building Regulations will therefore only apply to the structural alterations involved and to any other building controlled works such as drainage
Extension Plans
Under new regulations that came into effect on 1 October 2008 an extension or addition to your home is considered to be permitted development, not requiring an application for planning permission, subject to certain limits and conditions:
Planning Permission
Building Regulations
We have been dealing with Planning and Building Control for over 30 years we will handle all aspects of the application for you.
